My journey through a life changing event....Gastric bypass

My journey actuall started a year or ss ago when i woke up one morning so bloated that I was miserable. My face was round and so was every other part of my body.. It put me in bed for two days...when i felt well enough to go to the doctor..cause everyone knows no one likes to go to the doctor when thier sick and sit in the waiting area...for what seems like hours..My doctor tells me i have high blood pressure and puts me on a combo high blood pressure and diaretic medication. It was bad enough i was on high cholesterol meds now high bp to...it was time to open my eyes and do something... I had tried every program i could afford...and excercise just about did me in with my degenertive joints and the copd...something had to happen...i had watched a program on lap band surgery and thought that was for me...I did more reserach and found i perferred the results of the gastric bypass...plus i was diagnoised with diabetis and sleep anapnia...jooooy... so all this would be drastically lowered if not taken away...I liked the sound of that..so after battling medicaid and getting nowhere, I waited for my medicare to kick in and apply....there was nothing to it...went to the seminair and had the appointment with the doc, did all the tests and here i am with a surgery date of May 12th...whats great is that it's the day before my 54th birthday on May 13th....Happy Birthday to me.
